The company says the resurgence in bay windows for new build projects and for home upgrades stems from consumer demand for homes which maximise natural light.
“From the outside they enhance kerb appeal, providing a distinctive feature that can increase the value of the home signifcantly,” said Tony Pell, Jeld-Wen product manager.
“From the inside, they add dimension and dramatically increase the amount of natural light from three different angles.”
He said bay windows could meet consumers’ concerns about energy efficiency by being supplied with low E glazing units which reflect heat back into the room and prevent solar gain in the summer.
