The company, which has timber frame manufacturing operations in the UK and Ireland, said the build method was being increasingly used by housebuilders and developers for a broad range of architecturally challenging projects.
“The days when timber frame was used to construct row after row of standard box-like homes are long gone,” said managing director Gerry McCaughey.
He said highly engineered timber frame and structural insulated panel systems were revolutionising the build process, delivering fast build times and providing the design flexibility to create a wide variety of building types.
Mr McCaughey said increased use of timber frame for multi-storey developments had helped the build method’s expansion into new types of building projects, with developers of educational, healthcare and leisure facilities now using timber frame to deliver high-peformance buildings up to seven storeys high.
