Timber frame systems have been chosen for 60 houses as part of a £20m development scheme by Miller Homes in Headingley, Leeds.

Blyth-based Timber Frame Solutions (TFS) provided the systems for the houses, including 89mm deep frames insulated with rockwool, 9mm OSB external sheathing and 225mm I-beam panels for flooring. Fink truss roofs were constructed on site and crane lifted onto the buildings.

Miller Homes said it chose TFS’s system for faster build times, less wastage on site and quality control, as the frames are manufactured off-site in a controlled environment.
