Another 20,000m3 is believed to be on its way. An estimated 120,000m3 is needed to rebuild homes in the region.

WWF Indonesia and the Aceh Nias Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Agency secured funding from international organisations to pay for the timber. WWF and UK-based Muslim AID are facilitating wooden house construction for tsunami victims in several areas.

WWF is also encouraging people to help reforest coastal areas in Aceh, where forests were badly hit by the tsunami.
