Over 300 people, including members of the European parliament and EU officials, visited the timber industry’s awareness raising exhibition at the Brussels parliament building last week.

The three-day event included audio visual displays, literature and exhibits highlighting timber applications from construction to pallet making, focusing in particular on the environmental benefits of using and growing the material.

The initiative, themed “Tackle Climate Change: Use Timber”, was organised by the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries (CEI-Bois), but also included input from associated organisations from across Europe.
