This year’s National Floor Show saw a 10% growth in the number of exhibitors displaying wood and laminate products, according to exhibition organiser CMP Information.
Timber and laminate flooring exhibitors at the September 6-8 event, held at the Harrogate International Centre, included Atkinson & Kirby, British Hardwoods, Westco, Evergreen Flooring, Panaget, Parador and Sonae.
Evergreen showed its new ranges of Forest Stewardship Council-certified solid and engineered flooring, while British Hardwoods displayed its Stasis solid oak and ash inert flooring, designed for underfloor heating applications. Westco exhibited engineered planks with an integrated bevel.
A show spokesperson said: “Although time is hard for the flooring industry, it seems that wood flooring has come through and the increase of exhibitors within this section of the show is testament to the fact that wood and laminate is still going strong.”
Exhibitor numbers totalled more than 220, about the same as last year’s event.
