The organisers of The Timber Show say they are laying on a strong programme of free seminars for next year’s event at ExCeL, London.
A series of 45-minute sessions will cover subjects including the government’s timber purchasing policy, engineered wood products, sustainability and life cycle analysis and the UK supply chain.
A special presentation will also focus on some of the projects in the Wood Awards, with architects and others talking about their experience of using timber.
“With the growing popularity of timber for various applications, visitors are keen to learn more about the environmental and performance characteristics of the material and to find out about new product developments and sources of supply,” said exhibition director John Southam.
He said issues covered in the seminar programme were identified by visitor reasearch conducted after the last event.
The Timber Show will take place on March 11-13, 2008.
