The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is backing The Timber Show by taking a stand and forming part of the seminar programme.

The BMF aims to highlight the stocking and supply chain expertise of merchants in delivering timber and wood products to customers in the construction and manufacturing industries.

“As markets for timber expand so do the business opportunities for merchants,” said BMF managing director Chris Pateman.

“The Timber Show is the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the timber industry and attracts buyers who are already keen to learn more about the product and find reliable suppliers.

“It is therefore an ideal event at which to promote the expertise of merchants as stockists and timber products, with established and effective supply chain management systems able to deliver those products where and when they are needed.”

Exhibition organiser East Exhibitions is planning a visitor feature area highlighting some of the products and innovative solutions available through the merchant sector.

“The support of the BMF brings an additional layer of expertise to an event designed for everyone who uses timber,” said exhibition director John Southam.

The timber show takes place at ExCeL on March 11-13.
