Illegal logging and corruption in the international timber trade has inspired a film written by a member of the timber trade in Wales.

Anna Holmes helps run Ecotimber in Penarth with her Dutch-born partner Hubert Kwisthout, who has been involved in ethical timber sourcing for 20 years and chairs the Forest Stewardship Council UK working group.

The film is about a forestry consultant who finds his principles challenged when working for the UK government in Indonesia. The Film Agency for Wales says strong interest is expected from producers.

Ecotimber supplied the ceiling timber for the Welsh Assembly building in Cardiff.
