Timber has come out on top at this year’s Hampton Court Flower Show, with Hoppings Softwood Products supplying the decking and planed landscaping sleepers used in the award-winning Growing Schools Garden.
Essex-based Hoppings supplied Q-Grip slip resistant decking, which was used in the poetry and wet areas of the garden, and Q-Garden sleepers that formed the frame for raised vegetable and fruit beds.
In addition to supplying the timber for the garden, which won a gold medal and the Tudor Rose for best in show, Hoppings sponsored 12 pupils from Manuden Primary School in Essex to visit and experience the garden and meet the designer Chris Beardshaw.
