The courtyard landscaping of an award winning project in Manchester includes 300m2 of grooved deckboards in tatajuba, a new tropical hardwood from International Timber.
The decking, worth about £10,000, has been used on both vertical and horizontal applications throughout the landscaping at The Boxworks, which forms part of a major regeneration project at the Britannia Basin.
Tatajuba is one of five species in International Timber’s hardwood and softwood decking components range. The others are ipe, yellow balau, karri and Scandinavian redwood which has been CCA treated for additional durability.
All the species are sourced from well-managed forests in line with International Timber’s environmental policy.
