TRADA creates Urban Buzz

TRADA will hold the competition this year at the University of Sheffield on February 23-24, with student teams (third year students) competing from a number of universities.

This year’s competition is designed to have the students working more closely with design professionals, industry and other university students than ever before.

The charrette style approach will have them working collaboratively to tackle design problems from both architectural and engineering viewpoints. The competition reflects the actual challenges faced by design practitioners in their day-to-day jobs. Teams will compete with one another for generous cash prizes.

There will be a winning team and two runner-up teams? from the 12 competing. In addition the students and participating universities will benefit from the publicity material generated, including edited film footage of the whole event.
