Tradewoods Ltd has reduced the amount of damage caused to goods in transit through a new packaging regime.
The company, based in Ormskirk, Lancashire, says damage has fallen by more than 90% since its decision to end-card and shower wrap each individual pack of hardwood flooring (less than one pallet) before dispatching to customers.
Howard Bryan, managing director, said: “Small unprotected deliveries can easily be damaged in transit and flooring arriving on site damaged can cost the contractor a small fortune in time alone.”
Tradewoods plans to take on more warehouse staff to cope with growing demand for the service.
