Mather-Franks, a Rushden-based care group, is celebrating the creation of a new garden thanks to the students at Moulton College, supplies from builders’ merchant Travis Perkins and a life-changing prize from Connect FM’s Make a Difference competition.
Connect FM teamed up with Moulton College and Travis Perkins to offer free help to one Northamptonshire organisation in need, with the winner decided by listeners’ vote. Mather-Franks supports people in residential care who have learning disabilities.
Travis Perkins, whose head office is in Northampton, provided all of the materials for the project, which included decking, fencing, brick and blocks, and the garden was built by Moulton College apprentices.
