The flow of wood to ports in British Columbia has been disrupted by trucking strikes, according to industry newsletter Random Lengths.
Timber destined for off-shore markets, especially Japan, has been held up by the strikes, which involve an estimated 1,000 truckers.
Container traffic has slowed at the Port of Vancouver and Fraser Port terminals, while timber producers have been told not to ship more loads until the strike ends.
Some producers are trying rail transport and then shipping by break bulk instead of containers.
Truckers are reportedly seeking pay raises from their employers.
