Tight building schedules proved a crucial factor in the supply of TJI joists to a housing development above shops in Whitechapel, London.
Developer Galliard Homes, which is adding two floors to a building to house 30 apartments, said knowing that the joists would arrive on time was “invaluable”, especially as it had to liaise with the local council regarding cranes disrupting traffic flow.
TJI joist manufacturer Trus Joist has a network of UK master dealers ensuring products are available no more than two hours away from any building site, and this facilitated the ‘just in time’ delivery schedule.
