The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has agreed in principle to move out of its Clareville House headquarters, but it is likely to remain in central London.

The TTF’s head of public affairs Mark O’Brien said agreement had been reached with the federation’s landlord that, from next month, each could give six months’ notice.

He added: “The principle of moving has been accepted but we have not worked out the detail. We are trying to avoid moving later this year because of our conference, and at the beginning of next year as that is when all the subscriptions come in – so it will probably be about March.”

Mr O’Brien said he thought London was still the preferred choice because of the TTF’s work with the government and accessibility for divisional meetings.
