Twenty-six of the Timber Trade Federation‘s (TTF) 160 members have signed up to the TTF chief executive John White said the figure accounted for around 30% of the volume of wood traded in the UK and Gunther Hentschel, the TTF’s RPP manager, described the news as “a really solid start to the scheme”.
Mr White added: “Our industry’s environmental credentials are second to none; the RPP actually proves it. And with increasing numbers of specifiers demanding wood from well-managed forests, it will help TTF members compete for contracts where certified wood is not always available.”
