TTF sales course delegates provide financial return for their timber employers

30 November 2020

Delegates completing the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) Essential Foundations in Sales Management (EFSM) course have increased sales for their combined respective firms by well over £6m in 2020.

The 24 delegates were presented with their awards in an online ceremony on November 27.

“This is a fantastic outcome and represents an incredible return on investment for our members, their businesses and for their staff,” said David Hopkins, CEO of the TTF. Delegate Charlotte Hanham, of Sodra Wood Ltd, identified how the course had helped show her how it was possible to use LinkedIn to promote her employer.

“It was a big eye opener for me on that front,” she said. Matt Hansord of Marley said whatever stage of their careers people were at, there was something to learn on the EFSM course.

“The course has improved my confidence, improved my knowledge of the industry and fine honed my skills,” added Ivona Zinic Kojic, of Sodra Wood Ltd.

The course was developed by Sue Reed of Reed Consultants Ltd and is accredited by the Institute of Sales Management giving delegates a world-wide recognised professional qualification.

Those completing the course can take further studies through Reed Consultants, also in association with the TTF – in subjects such as Leadership, Operations, Customer Service and Project Management.

The EFSM course will be running again in 2021 and the TTF will be advertising to all members to join. In addition, TTF will be running four one-day “teaser” sessions through the year focused on the use of social media and online tools.
