TTJ Awards voting goes live on April 5

4 April 2023

The voting for this year’s TTJ Awards gets underway on April 5 and will run until June 19.

The TTJ Awards is the annual search for excellence across the UK timber and wood product industries, with 10 voted categories covering different sectors.

Voted categories recognise service excellence, product quality, value for money and deliveries across the timber industry in the key areas of wood-based panels, softwood, hardwood, joinery, structural timber systems and garden products.

People who vote are buyers of wood – timber trade customers – voting for their best- performing suppliers via an online voting portal, which can be accessed via the Awards website - TTJAWARDS.

This year we have made one change to the voted categories, splitting the Softwood Trader of the Year into two in recognition of the sector’s massive importance and size in the UK & Ireland timber trade.

The softwood importing sector will have its own award – Softwood Importer of the Year, while the sawmilling sector (in the UK and Ireland) will be represented in a Softwood Sawmiller of the Year category in recognition of the homegrown timber sector.

Voting is open to customers who buy timber products right down the supply chain from builders, specifiers, joinery firms, furniture producers, other wood product manufacturers, structural timber fabricators, merchants, DIY retailers and distributors.

Judged categories – where companies can make submissions – also opens on April 5, covering the Career Development Awards, Excellence in Marketing, Environmental Achievement and Timber Merchanting Development.

For this year, we have brought back the TTJ Innovation Prize to recognise timber product innovation. Links to the entry forms are due to go live on Awards website on April 5.

Sponsors this year include Timber Development UK, W Howard, Combilift, Arxada, Glennon Brothers, Taylor Maxwell, Accoya, West Fraser, ECC Timber Products, Hubtex, the Builders Merchant Federation, SCM and the Structural Timber Association.
