The £800,000 development in Dulwich, south London, was constructed with Vincent’s western red cedar cladding, treated before delivery with Arch‘s Dricon fire retardant and in situ with Restol linseed oil coating.
Bill Bradley, managing director of project developer Talisman, said: “Once the cedar had been fire-treated, it was delivered to site and we were overwhelmed by its beautiful colour and natural grain. We chose Restol because of the lightness of the product and its ease of use. An added bonus was that we discovered we only needed to apply one coat – a much needed financial saving at that stage in the build.”
