Uganda’s National Forest Authority has completed a second round of forest plantation allocations using a competitive bidding process.
Ten logging companies were allocated plantations in western Uganda and west Nile.
Competitive tendering, which has replaced the process of applying for concessions, has been introduced to crack down on fraud and boost revenue.
