Panel processor VC Industries (VCi) has increased production capacity with the installa-tion of a Holzma HKL11 angle plant.
The Stourton company provides a cut, edge and drill service to panel and office furniture producers and the shopfitting sector.
The company was launched four years ago by managing director Robin Cliff and director Pauline Vernon. It was based on a previous panel business that had gone into administration and the saw it already had was “not up to the job anymore”.
After liaising with Homag UK area sales manager John Shepheard on their precise specification, VCi opted for the Holzma plant.
The HKL11 features a dual level powered roller infeed station and integrated turntable for head cuts, helping save material. It uses CadMatic control and links directly with VCi’s Mati-Cut optimisation software in its production management department.
Cut accuracy, says Holzma, is ensured by the monorail saw carriage which gives “long-term alignment between main and scoring blades so no chipping occurs, particularly when cutting MFC”.
Ms Vernon described the Holzma as a “key investment for VCi and its customers”.
