VIDA Group recorded operating profits of SKr112.7m in 2009 (2008: SKr91.3m).
The slight improvement was due mainly to rising sawn timber prices.
Full-year production totalled 1.051 million m³, just 9,000m³ down on 2008, with all mills showing a positive result and timber procurement assured throughout 2010.
The timber division recorded SKr140m operating profits (2008: SKr110.5m).
VIDA is adding 15 extra staff in its purchasing division to reinforce its efforts to secure future supplies of raw materials.
“VIDA welcomes 2010 with a minimum sustained production and sales in all business,” it said.
