Glennon Brothers, the timber processing company with plants in Scotland and Ireland, has recently hosted VIP visits.

Labour MSP David Whitton and Susan Conlon, consul-general of Ireland to Scotland, were guests at the company’s Adam Wilson & Sons sawmill in Troon.

“I am particularly impressed by the environmental credentials that the business displays and how its port location is utilised,” said Mr Whitton, Scottish Labour spokesperson for Skills.

“The business here at Troon is a great example of a successful Irish company operating in Scotland and demonstrates a visible partnership between the two countries.”
