W Howard has continued its long-standing programme of staff training and development with 13 members of staff successfully completing a Leadership Impact Programme course.

The nine-month course, run by The Better People Organisation, gives attendees the opportunity to learn the very latest management skills and leadership theories. During the course they gain a better understanding of their personal management and leadership styles, as well as learning practical skills to help them and their teams develop going forward.

“At W Howard we pride ourselves on going the extra mile to support our staff in their personal growth journeys,” said Graham Williams, W Howard group managing director. “Offering this course is part of the company’s core pledge to invest in our teams and support them in learning new skills they will be able to use throughout their careers.

“We believe this helps to build a stronger and more cohesive team, giving our people more confidence in themselves and their abilities. I’m delighted that the latest group has successfully completed the course – congratulations to them all for working so hard over the past nine months.”

The W Howard staff who attended the course were: national sales manager Jake Cintra; area sales manager north Jack Weaver; HR and well-being officer Rebecca Brandish; group marketing manager Emma Harmer; transport manager Neville Waring; warehouse manager Gary Brown; production supervisor Rob Moore; maintenance manager Mark Rostron, LDC depot manager Sam Pitfield; continuous improvement and training champion Stefan Simm; sales admin team leader Sonia Kenny; production co-ordinator/H&S lead Stephen Smith; and shift leader, night shift John Cash.
