A NZ$10m timber processing plant is to be built in Waimate, New Zealand.
Waimate Timber Processing Ltd will initially create 35 jobs, with another 50-plus positions likely in the future. Construction is due to start in August.
The idea for the mill came through district council strategic planning discussions. The council has pumped NZ$500,000 into the project, with other monies coming from investors.
