Many of the world’s finest wines are to mature in oak barrels certified by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC).
International cooperage Seguin Moreau, which has secured PEFC chain of custody certification, is offering certified barrels for this year’s wine production.
The French-based company, which has branches in Australia, Chile and the US, said PEFC certification demonstrates that Seguin Moreau is a leader in responsible and sustainable management of timber resources.
