Wolf Systems Ltd‘s easi-joist floor system has gained Irish Agrément Board Approval.
Approval took two years to achieve with consultants from BRE and TRADA. Fire and sound testing were undertaken to ensure the system could withstand extreme temperatures for 60 minutes and that sound transmission between floors conformed to current Building Regulations.
The structural stability of easi-joist was also examined in strength tests – including one to destruction.
Wolf claims that easi-joist is now the only metal web floor joist to have gained Robust Detail, Irish Agrément Board Approval and European Technical Approval.
The company says 26 manufacturers in the UK and Ireland are now signed up to the system.
