The awards, the UK’s leading award scheme for excellence in architecture and furniture using wood, recognises outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation, as well as promoting timber as a sustainable building material.
Anyone associated with an eligible project – architects, designers, manufacturers, engineers, timber suppliers, consultants or even the client themselves – can enter.
Organisers say the awards represent an opportunity for professionals to showcase work they’re proud of, receive recognition for their achievements, demonstrate expertise in their field and raise awareness of their company.
The competition is open to architectural projects and furniture pieces designed in the UK and completed between January 2010 and June 2013 which have not been previously entered.
The competition is also offering the opportunity to help grow all entrants’ social media presence through the Wood Awards’ Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest sites.
