For the first time members of the timber trade have been invited en masse to an exhibition of entries to The Wood Awards 2003.
The sponsors and organisers of the competition have already sent out more than 500 invitations to view the 208 entries at Carpenters’ Hall in the City of London between 10am and 4pm on October 14 – the day before the winners are announced.
Wood Awards organiser Michael Buckley said: “There is a real desire to give the competition as wide a coverage as possible.
“There is a limit on the numbers that can be invited to the awards ceremony itself because of the size of the hall, but we felt the trade should be given an opportunity to view the entries.”
