A new range of wood fibre-based “ethical lingerie” has been launched to promote sustainable development.
The g=9.8 range from ethical retailer By Nature features men and women’s products which are manufactured in Lenpur, a textile produced from white pine clippings processed with enzymes into fibre.
Conceived by French designer Sophie Young, the underwear is produced in southern France using local people and local products, “helping to strengthen the local economy while preserving employment and local know-how”.
The clippings used in Lenpur are also derived from sustainably managed trees and produced during natural pruning cycles.
By Nature said Lenpur had “amazing properties” that produced “ultra comfortable and naturally sensual” underwear.
