The Brighton-based body for UK’s community wood recycling enterprises was named Materials Recycler of the Year in the small and medium-sized enterprises category.
Since 2008, the NCWRP has kept 7,000 tonnes of wood out of the waste stream through the National Builders Collection Scheme.
Twenty-seven member enterprises throughout the UK collect waste wood from more than 40 of the largest construction companies.
The scheme has a turnover of £1m.
