Construction work has begun on Austrian fittings manufacturer Blum’s seventh facility in Vorarlberg, Austria.
The new site in Dornbirn will offer the company additional warehouse capacity, loading bays and dispatch space, as well as providing direct access to ports in Hamburg, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Bremerhaven through a dedicated rail connection.
This will be supported by an automated high bay warehouse with space for 35,000 pallets and a workforce of 250, including 60 new jobs.
The 24,000m² facility will cost Blum €42m and is due to be completed by Autumn 2009.
