Worldwide demand for windows and doors is forecast to rise 5.7% per year to US$146.5bn in 2007 according to market analyst Freedonia Group Inc.

Wood and metal products will account for a larger share of window and door demand in many areas.

The report said global demand for windows and doors will reach US$74.6bn and US$71.9bn respectively. North American demand will grow 4.9% annually to US$36.2bn in 2007, while Asia/Pacific demand will grow 7.4% to US$58.6bn.
