The Wood Window Alliamce (WWA) is to stage a membership open day in Coventry to increase the power of its campaign.

The invite-only event will take place at Siegenia-Aubi Ltd’s offices on April 30 and will provide an opportunity for interested parties to come along and learn about the campaign’s activities in 2008.

These include working with Defra and the BRE to promote the thermal efficiencies, sustainability and durability of timber products, and promoting its branding.

“Timber window manufacturers, component suppliers, installers and maintainers are really missing out if they are not members of the WWA this year,” said Ruth Oloyede, WWA campaign manager.

“The more members we have, the more powerful the campaign.”

Ms Oloyede said that she planned to keep the event “close and personal” with around 15 people attending, but added that she planned to stage three or four similar events each year around the UK.
