Trussed rafter specialist Wyckham Blackwell is celebrating its 125th birthday with a year of celebrations.
This will include heading out on the road and meeting customers on a one-to-one basis to bring a personalised touch to the celebrations.
Wyckham Blackwell has dabbled in a number of areas of the timber industry, including fencing, home-grown timber supply, joinery and sawmilling, with group chief executive John Taylor describing the last 125 years as a “growing process”,
“We’ve never been afraid of moving into new areas if that’s what the market needs,” said Mr Taylor. “Trussed rafters have been good for us.”
Mr Taylor added the company will be concentrating on its trussed rafters, metal web products and the smartroof “room in the roof” system, developed in collaboration with systems specialist Wolf Systems, over the coming year.
“When the market picks up we’ll be in a strong position with a good team behind us,” he said.
