International Decorative Surfaces (IDS) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a pledge to hit a 68% certification target for its product portfolio.
The surface materials supplier claims by making nearly three-quarters of its products either FSC or PEFC certified, it will be able to offer “the most extensive choice available within the industry”.
Supply chain director Steve Rickers said the company was one of the first national distributors to offer FSC- and PEFC-accredited panel products in the UK in 2003.
“We have been steadily increasing the ratio of certified products in line with our environmental policy to more than 50%,” said Mr Rickers.
“We have now set a target of 68% by the end of 2009 which, through supply chain expertise and the co-operation of our supply partners, we are confident we can achieve.”
