Osmo’s Wood Stain and Protector has been used to protect a new art display in London’s Covent Garden against the British summer weather.
The Hairywood Tower is a 6m-high structure clad with laser-cut Finnish spruce plywood, supplied by Finnforest, designed to look like Rapunzel’s hair.
Osmo’s finish was used when the structure was first built at the Yard Gallery on Old Street in 2005, and has been used again to provide protection from the elements, as well as a transparent colour finish.
“Our product is perfect for this design because it will protect the tower while it’s on display in Covent Garden as well as providing an attractive finish,” said Osmo’s managing director Steve Grimwood.
