Moralt gears up for two shows

13 February 2020

Leading German high-performance door blank manufacturer, Moralt AG, is gearing up to exhibit at two major shows next month.

With more than 800 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors expected, Fensterbau Frontale is the world’s biggest exhibition for doors, windows and facades and takes place in Nuremburg between March 18-21.

During the same week, the Bavarian-based business will also exhibit at the Dubai Woodshow.  Taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre, between March 16-18, the Dubai Woodshow is the only dedicated trade show in the Middle East for the wood and woodworking machinery industries.

Products on show will include Moralt’s range of FERRO external doors, featuring FERRO FireSafe, which have recently achieved IFC Fields of Application to FD30 and FD60.

The FERRO range also comprises a Passivhaus door solution for low energy and Passivhaus buildings.  In addition, the latest developments relating to the certification of Moralt’s internal door blank range -LAMINESSE FireSmoke and FireSound - will be on display.

“This is a really exciting period for our business,” said Klaus Feile, managing director. “Worldwide demand for high-performance technical door blanks is growing all the time and both Europe and the UAE are extremely important and fast developing markets for us. These exhibitions offer the perfect platform to showcase our extensive portfolio to architects, joiners, manufacturers and specifiers and build new, strategic relationships with key decision makers from a wide range of sectors and markets on a global scale.”

This growth in demand is evidenced in two of Dubai’s newest and most prestigious projects – the EXPO CoEx Centre and the Kempinski Hotel, which recently specified a combined total of more than 550 Moralt FireSound internal acoustic door blanks.

Reflecting this growing global trend for high-specification technical door blanks, Moralt has just appointed Steven Dennard as international sales manager who will be responsible for developing sales in both the UK and UAE as well as China.

Moralt continues to invest for the future, following a €1m move in 2016 to a new factory in Hausham, a further €500,000 was spent in 2019 to optimise production, by streamlining manufacturing processes and logistics, and further investment and development is planned for later this year.

Moralt has also just achieved carbon neutral status.

Moralt’s products are available in the UK through James Latham and Falcon Panel Products.
