Weyerhaeuser has been named the world’s most admired forest and paper products company.
Fortune magazine names the company top for innovation, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, long-term investment, and quality of products/services. In addition, Weyerhaeuser tied for 10th place for social responsibility overall among all companies.
Fortune’s “Most Admired Companies” list is widely considered the definitive measure of corporate performance and reputation.
To compile the list, FORTUNE and its partner, The Hay Group, surveyed approximately 15,000 senior executives, outside directors, and other major non-US companies and financial analysts.
Weyerhaeuser also learned it was included in Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List for 2011 and awarded the Sustainable Asset Management 2011 Bronze Class distinction for corporate sustainability performance in The Sustainability Yearbook 2011.
