Italian CNC machinery manfacturer Masterwood Spa has underlined its continuing commitment to the UK market by establishing a new sales and service operation (www.masterwoodgb.com).
“We have a long tradition of supplying customers in the UK and Ireland and our commitment to helping companies achieve the best possible production will continue even during these challenging times,” said Gianluca Ticchi, Masterwood Spa director.
The company is to launch some major additions to its range at Ligna in May, including two 5-axis CNC machining centres: the Project 4000 for rapid switching between door, window, stair and cabinet production; and the Project 50000 dedicated joinery cenre, which can be specified with a 5-axis and 3-axis head working together.
“These machines are born from our strategy to specialise in ‘bridge type’ construction, in order to provide joinery customers with the most robust solution for machining solid wood,” said Mr Ticchi.
On the panel processing side, Masterwood will also launch the MW2142 for optimum large sheet nesting applications and, for smaller volume customers, the Project 310, which, says the company, “brings the increased performance and versatility of large diameter tooling to an ‘entry-level’ machine”.
The company says it will soon introduce new software for its machines.
