Homag machines have been specified to create a new doorset manufacturing facility at Turkish timber firm Yildiz Entegre.

Yildiz called on Homag Holzbearbeitungssysteme AG to design a manufacturing line for timber doors and frames suitable for the Turkish market, using MDF as the key material and in two styles.

A Holzma angular saw, Bargstedt stacker, a Homag edging line, three Torwegge lock and hinge processing machines and a Ligmatech packing machine were specified to create the smooth door leaf variant. For the curved profile a Holzma angular saw, routers, trimming machines and a turnover station are used.

To manufacture door frames, a Holzma saw and Friz wrapping line have been brought in, with different processes using the same machines carried out to produce jambs and architraves.

Yildiz has said that the investment in the Homag machinery has cost more than £10m and that in purchasing a one-stop package from a single machinery manufacturer it was able to guarantee a successful end to the project.
