UKTFA has announced that the networking event, which is set to take place at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh on May 10, is free to all local timber frame companies and members of their supply chains.
It is set to see presentations on the association’s own Health & Safety Code of Practice, fire safety during the construction phase and other training initiatives designed to help them benefit from the increase in interest in timber frame construction.
The weekly seminars will be held at UKTFA members’ sites across Scotland, offering technical advice related to the Scottish Building Standards Agency 2007 Technical Handbooks.
This will include energy standards, the environment and the use of safe structures during timber frame construction and has already drawn the attention of 300 members of the Scottish timber industry, according to UKTFA.
