Kevin McCloud, host of the Grand Designs TV series, will be the keynote speaker at TRADA‘s second In Touch with Timber conference next May.
The aim of the event, which was launched this year, is to highlight the potential of timber in construction to engineers, architects and other specifiers. Next year’s conference, held at London’s Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre on May 10, is expected to attract more than 150 delegates.
Mr McCloud will address “the benefits of using timber in buildings, drawing on his own case studies of timber-based projects”. There will also be presentations by other “eminent figures” in the industry, seminars and an exhibition of products and services by TRADA members.
This year’s inaugural In Touch with Timber event won a Memcom Award for Conference Promotion.
