Deanta UK has officially opened its new £15m flagship facility in Cambridgeshire in a move that marks a new chapter for jobs, innovation, and growth.

The new facility on Lancaster Way, Ely is situated alongside the company’s existing premises, effectively bringing together all of Deanta’s operations under one roof, including design, research and development, operations, and distribution.

The existing building has been repurposed to accommodate the company’s manufacturing operations, previously based at Pymoor near Ely, consolidating Deanta’s operations for greater efficiency and collaboration.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Charlotte Cane, MP for the local constituency.

“The building is really a testament to the commitment and hard work of all our staff over the years,” said Mike O’Toole, managing director of Deanta UK.

“We’re investing in our business and our workforce – adding in a gym and leisure facilities to reward our staff and giving us the room we need to continue to grow, service and add value to our customers.”

The new facility is expected to create 150 new skilled roles over the next three years across manufacturing, logistics, sales, technical, and support functions, providing a significant boost to the local economy.

R&D will form a central part of the new operation – the dedicated R&D centre will form the next phase of development, being progressively built over the next three years. It will house three specialist areas — fire research, acoustic testing and research, and hardware cycle testing and design — each led by technical experts.

Alongside the R&D spaces, a customer showroom and training facility will allow clients to see new product developments first-hand and will be used for both staff training and training programmes for Deanta and Precision’s customers across the UK.

Deanta UK, the winner of the TTJ Joinery Product Supplier of the Year 2025, is a leading supplier of doors, associated joinery, hardware, and specialist doorsets to builders’ merchants and door shops throughout the United Kingdom.

The large new facility at Ely will include an R&D centre
