Launched as an educational facility, the site has seen an increase in visitors over the last 18 months looking for "quick and easily digested information’.

As a result, its backers, which include Jewson, Swedish Wood, the Timber Decking and Cladding Association, TRADA, Wood for Good and the Wood Window Alliance, decided to remodel the facility "to make it easier and more attractive to use for someone searching for information, without reducing the site’s appeal as a provider of online learning".

The new site is ‘streamed’ by audience as well as category to make it simpler for visitors to find the specific subject they’re looking for. The redesign is also intended to make it easier for search engines to identify. The audience streams are builder, merchant, specifier and DIY.
