Mr King, riding with the 20,000-strong amateur cyclists’ group, finished the 100-mile course, including Box Hill and Leith Hill, in just under seven hours, passing London mayor Boris Johnson who suffered a puncture in Cobham.
This was Mr King’s fifth 100-mile sportive; he has previously completed three UK events and two attempts at Sweden’s Vattenrundan.
His RideLondon cycle has so far raised over £900 for MIND, and donations are still welcome at: www.justgiving.com/Stephen-King9
