A high-pressure tank for Wolmanit CX treatments was commissioned earlier this year and there are plans to expand and add low-pressure treatments as demand grows.
Director Mark Eggleston said the company planned eventually to operate a mirror site to its main Hull base and was beginning in Kent with fencing, decking, carcassing and other high-pressure products.
The new site is based at the Scotline Terminal in Rochester and represents an investment of more than £200,000. Mr Eggleston said business was buoyant and he hoped to expand.
"We set up in Hull five years ago and we have been doing good business with customers bringing timber into Hull. Some of these customers also have business in the south-east and it makes sense to operate from Rochester, especially with the Scotline Terminal, and distribute from there rather than send it by road from Hull," Mr Eggleston said.
"We have started with one tank and we hope to pick up new business and add another and look at low-pressure treament. We have ISO 9001 and we work to any Use Class our customers want, and we do fire retardant as well, so the plan is eventually to bring that all to Rochester."
