The added product availability at MBM’s site in Denny, Stirlingshire, will allow the company to service customers in Scotland and other areas with a 24-hour delivery service.
"For the past two years, we’ve stocked SolidStart Rim Board solely in Tilbury," said MBM product manager Andrew Caldwell. "The added product availability will allow us to provide better service for customers throughout Scotland and northern England."
MBM is promoting the product to timber frame manufacturers, claiming the product uses 10-35% less timber per m3 than traditional 32mm or 45mm rim board alternatives, while the lighter weight also helps with faster installation.
All of LP’s I-joists have been CE marked since January 10 and have had European Technical Approval since December 11, 2012.
